Background
No existing site to build from, just a clear goal: get business owners to book a call. The challenge was creating a web experience that matched the energy of Slice Media's product without letting that energy get in the way of a single, focused action. Personality and conversion, not one or the other.
Approach
With nothing to start from, the first step was defining structure and goals with the client. What does the user need to feel, and what do we want them to do? Conversion was the answer to both. From there I prototyped multiple layout concepts in Figma, each one focused on moving users through a fast, clear narrative toward one action. Scrollimation with GSAP, looping video and bold CTAs gave the experience the same rhythm as Slice Media's social content. Every section earned its place by pushing the user one step further. Animations were custom built to add engagement without hurting load times. I used simple live user testing to fine-tune content hierarchy, checking that what felt right in the design actually worked in practice. Responsive behavior across screen sizes was part of the process throughout, not an afterthought. The collaboration is ongoing. Based on how the site performs and how the business grows, we touch base occasionally revisit what users need to feel at each stage. Recent additions include user stories to build credibility for first-time visitors, and a video landing page that walks new leads through the owner's working method before they book a call. The goal stays the same, get the right people to take action, but how we get them there keeps evolving.
Outcome
The client described his booking numbers as having "skyrocketed" compared to his previous landing page. It did its job well enough that the client was able to grow the business off the back of it. He has since reinvested into a new website that carries parts of the original design forward. The first site laid the foundation, and future iterations will build upon that.
